Sustainability reporting: from obligation to steering tool

Regulatory reporting has pushed utilities to structure sustainability data at a level of detail that was unthinkable a few years ago. Emissions, network losses, asset lifecycles and supplier footprints are now measured and audited.

The opportunity is to reuse that data internally: prioritising investments, comparing grid reinforcement with flexibility alternatives, and making trade-offs explicit.
